The partnership will see ASA support GHI’s programme of ground handling conferences, including the flagship GHI Annual Conference and regional events across the Americas, Asia and Africa.

Combining GHI’s established global events platform with ASA’s membership and industry expertise, the partnership will strengthen the events as important forums for the ground handling community to meet, exchange knowledge and address the opportunities and challenges shaping the sector.

ASA will work closely with GHI on conference programming, contribute to the development of industry content and support the participation of senior leaders from across the aviation services community.

GHI will continue to lead the organisation and delivery of the events, building on more than 25 years of experience bringing together ground handlers, airlines, airports, ground service providers, suppliers and other stakeholders from across the global aviation industry.

Ben Allen, CEO of Mark Allen Group, said: “Ground Handling International has built an exceptional position at the heart of this global industry, and we are delighted to be entering into this long-term partnership with ASA.

“Our ambition is to create events that are truly indispensable to the industry — places where people come together to exchange ideas, build meaningful relationships, do business and shape the future. ASA’s support and expertise will add further value to an already strong GHI platform, helping us deliver even more for the global ground handling community.”

Alice Clarke, Portfolio Director, Ground Handling International, said: “At GHI, we believe our events should be shaped by the people at the heart of our industry. Working with ASA brings valuable expertise and insight to our conference programmes, ensuring they reflect the opportunities and challenges that matter most to those working in the ground handling sector.

“The partnership also reinforces what GHI has always been about: community, collaboration and creating valuable connections. I look forward to welcoming the global ground handling community to GHI Annual in London this December as we begin this exciting new chapter with ASA.”

Hassan El-Houry, Chairman of ASA World, said: “ASA exists to represent and advance the interests of the aviation services industry globally, and bringing our members together to exchange knowledge and address the issues shaping our sector is an important part of that role.

“GHI has developed a highly respected global meeting place for our industry. This partnership gives us the opportunity to work together over the long term to increase engagement across the ground handling community and ensure the industry’s most important conversations have a strong and effective platform.”

The partnership takes effect immediately and encompasses GHI’s flagship annual conference and its programme of regional events.

The 2026 GHI Annual Conference will take place at Olympia London from 1–3 December 2026. For more information, visit the website
