The Position

We have an extremely rare opportunity for a sales manager to join us to launch highly innovative, brand-new publications and web sites as well as both physical and online events that target advanced and emerging technology sectors.

You’ll be responsible for managing and generating revenue streams or more specifically:

Duties include:


  • Ensuring all revenue and profit targets are achieved.
  • Responsibility for account management from start to finish and business-development across the magazines, conferences, exhibitions, and online events.
  • Ensuring the weekly reports are managed on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Maintaining all records on the CRM ensuring that all individual and company details are correct and up to date.
  • Attaining agreed monthly revenue and pipeline targets.
  • Arranging sales meetings/calls with decision makers.
  • Supplying accurate sales data to colleagues when required.


  • Understanding the USPs of our products as well as the benefits of the products and services we provide.
  • Unearthing and converting sales leads into business.
  • Building and maintaining product and industry knowledge.
  • Understanding market trends and developments to maximise sales opportunities.

Relationship Management

  • Delivering maximum revenues while upholding exceptional levels of client service.
  • Representing Mark Allen Business at all relevant events.
  • Attending appropriate trade events to develop contacts and relationships.
  • Where required, occasionally having face-to-face appointments with key accounts.
  • Communicating regularly with management regarding prospective business and objectives planned for agencies / clients.

About you


  • Proven sales and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build effective business relationships.
  • Ability to create strategic and innovative solutions.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant sales experience.
