Pro-Shop Europe Awards Night 2011

Wentworth Golf Club was the venue for Pro-Shop Europe's inaugural awards on 17 November.

It meant an early start for associate publishers, Geoff Pullin and Geraldine Faulkner, who set off at 06.15 to ensure they were at the hallowed golfing turf for 07.30 when the first of 36 eager sponsors arrived to enjoy a round on the famous West Course.

Considering it was November, the weather gods smiled on the event and it remained dry, even sunny, all day. In the evening, 120 people gathered in the ballroom at Wentworth where former Ryder Cup winner Paul May and Geraldine jointly presented the awards. There were eight categories with winners being presented with stylish Tipperary Crystal trophies.

Runners-up were presented with certificates. Geoff and Geraldine have been inundated with positive feedback. Here's an example from David Westwood who won the 'sales agent of the year' award: "Thank you for the night at Wentworth. We had a great night. I have been shocked at the response I have had for winning. I have had e-mails from all over the world already over winning agent of the year. I am honoured to win the award. Can you pass on my thanks to all your team at golf shop Europe."
