New launch for MA Education

September saw the expansion of one of MA Education’s longest established publications.

Edited by Amy Griggs, 5to7 Educator has been catering for the nation’s primary school teachers for several years and has built up a loyal following in that time.

However, to reflect the changing nature of its audience the magazine is to re-launch from September as Primary Teacher Update (PTU).

Up until now, 5to7 has focused on teachers of the younger age range. However, the launch of PTU will see the target audience expanded to all primary teachers

The new-look title will focus on professional and practical content and subscribers will also receive access to a range of online resources.

The new title will also better fit with MA Education’s primary leadership magazine Headteacher Update.

Publisher Matt Govett and Associate Publisher Neil Henty have been working closely with Amy Griggs on the launch.

Publisher Matt Govett said: The core approach of the publication will be to ensure that the majority of the content is written by teachers for teachers. This is with a view that we can ensure that it is the teacher that is put at the centre of publication and that it is the teacher who benefits immediately from the content of the publication.

"The professional, pedagogical approach and ethos of Primary Teacher Update will serve to benefit teachers in their day to day professional practice and indeed their careers long-term. The new website will additionally contain subscriber-only access to termly practical activities and lesson plans, all linked to the key stage 1 and 2 National Curriculum.”
