New journal launch for MA Healthcare

April 22nd sees the launch of the newest addition to the MA Healthcare portfolio of journals. British Journal of Wellbeing is a journal for the new approaches to mental and physical health set to transform the mental health field in the new decade. The Journal is aimed at all professionals with a remit to support the mental health of people of all ages. It will promote modern, progressive and positive approaches to mental health and wellbeing, and will reflect the increasingly interdisciplinary nature of service provision. It will help readers develop the skills required to meet the new agenda, epitomised by the English Department of Health's 'Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies' (IAPT) programme.

British Journal of Wellbeing will be based on the principle that the mental and physical health of individuals are inseparable. It will address ways in which practitioners can support people to take greater care of their own mental and physical needs. Its content will be of interest and relevance to practitioners, carers and service providers. As well as topical and challenging news analysis and feature articles, British Journal of Wellbeing will also publish original peer-reviewed papers by clinicians and researchers in the field.

The Journal is edited by Ian McMillan, a trained psychiatric nurse and former long-time editor of the journal Mental Health Practice.

To find out more about the journal, or to subscribe, visit the journal website or call 0800 137201. Alternatively, you can email the Editor.
