In an awards ceremony in London on Thursday 12 January, David Woods was revealed as a finalist in global media agency MHP's '30 to Watch’ awards.
An independent panel of judges discuss journalists under 30 years of age who are pushing the boundaries of young journalism. The judges take into account the quality, quantity, impact and reach of each journalist, identifying those whose career trajectory is above and beyond what you would expect.
Sian Harrington, publisher of HR magazine, said: "David is a deserved finalist in the 30 to Watch ranking and was one of only two B2B journalists who made the shortlist. With the list being chosen by editorial luminaries it is a great recognition of David's skills at seeking out the best stories, presenting complex issues in a readable and engaging way and his ability to work across all media channels to ensure we deliver the best to all our customers - be they magazine readers, our supplier partners or people in the wider HR community. This list rewards those who have gone beyond what you would expect in journalism at such an early stage in the working life and there is no doubt in my mind that David is one such journalist."
Putting the recognition into context - other finalists were from titles such as The Guardian and Financial Times!
