BJM heads to Scotland for study day

On Thursday 8 September, Flo Doel, MA Heathcare conference executive and Heather Ikuemesi, assistant conference executive, travelled to Glasgow, for one of seven British Journal of Midwifery (BJM) Study Days held in 2011. Alice Hall, the editor of BJM, reported back on each of the sessions held on Friday morning.

The study day focused on domestic violence and how, as midwives, they can make a difference to the women and men affected. The attendees came out of their morning lectures eager to put what they had learned into practice, and inspired by the presentations and case studies they had listened to.

The speakers enjoyed being involved in the event, and are keenly awaiting the last two study days in the series for 2011.
