This is a great new initiative from the British Journal of Midwifery. In partnership with Cow & Gate and Infant magazine BJM has launched the Innovating for Life research grants (www.innovatingforlife.co.uk).
These grants aim to support midwives and neonatologists in their practice. The journal will give two awards of £10,000 each to projects that have helped to improve maternity care but could be better developed if there were funds available - always in short supply within today's NHS.
Publisher Matt Cianfarani said: "Hopefully we will find some deserving winners and look to follow their progress developing services which could make a real difference to patient care."
