The Mark Allen Group has rebranded one of its main operating companies from A&D Media to MA Business & Leisure, following a successful period of growth in this sector.
The change, effective from April 2012 is part of a bid to integrate MA Business & Leisure in line with the Group's two other publishing and online companies: MA Healthcare and MA Education.
MA Business & Leisure's diverse range of business-to-business magazines include Land Mobile, a magazine dedicated to wireless technology, Recycling and Waste World, the leading golf trade publication Pro-Shop Europe and Human Resources the award winning magazine for HR directors. It has most recently acquired Children & Young People Now, the only dedicated title for professionals working with children, young people and families.
MA Business & Leisure has a conferences and awards arm as well as Fonthill Creative, a dynamic design studio undertaking graphic design for the Mark Allen Group, as well as outside clients.
The Mark Allen Group chief executive officer Ben Allen said: "This is an important step. The Mark Allen Group can no longer be perceived as healthcare publishers, although this is still our core.
"We now have an increasingly successful and profitable business-to-business and leisure arm, which this change of name embraces."
A&D Media, an abbreviation of the two founders of this company, Mark Allen and Pierre D'Abost, was incorporated in April 1994, providing a publishing base in Wiltshire for Mark Allen, after the formation of the Mark Allen Group in London in 1985.
