Every tour is limited to 20 participants, and is accompanied by a British tour leader and an experienced local guide, whose local knowledge and personal contacts open hidden doors to places and events far off the beaten track.

And we never forget the holiday element. All tours cover the cultural, scenic and wildlife spectacles of the region, whether it's walking the Great Wall of China or snorkelling with the sea lions in the Galapagos.

 

Midwifery in China

Midwifery in China is our oldest tour – our first was back in 1994 – giving midwifery professionals a unique insight into how their profession is practised in China whilst also immersing you in the rich history and culture of this extraordinary nation.

A programme of private visits to hospitals and clinics across the land will enable you to meet and talk to midwives, therapists, specialists and of course mothers and babies, and to see at first hand the very different conditions and challenges that Chinese midwives face.

The tour is also very much a holiday, exploring China’s great cities, awe-inspiring historical sites and uplifting landscapes, with many fascinating glimpses of a way of life vastly different from our own. Above all, as we have discovered over the years, a travelling group of midwives always means fun from start to finish and many lasting friendships.
